Students will use a computer and application software including word processing, presentation, database, spreadsheets, internet, and email to prepare elementary documents and reports. The impact of computers on society and ethical issues are presented.
This course will provide an introduction to both areas of accounting and finance. Topics will include banking, credit, financial literacy, career exploration, spreadsheet usage, and technical writing. The major focus of the course is on the accounting cycle and the communication of financial information to decision-makers. The accounting principles taught in this course are based on a double-entry system and include preparing bank reconciliations, payroll taxes, and financial statements.
